Bethlehem Lutheran Church Women (BLCW) 2004

Women's Missionary Federation
The Association of Free Lutheran Congregations

OUR COMMISION

The Lord Jesus Christ, our shepherd and Teacher, used various persons to be His witnesses. Women were also called to serve, as indicated in Mark 15:40,41. We dedicate ourselves to the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ when He said "Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to all creation" Mark 16:15.

PURPOSE

To awaken and deepen interest in and love for the Kingdom of God at home and abroad, thus sharing in the great missionary enterprise of the Christian Church.

To unite all the women of the Association of the Free Lutheran Congregation into deeper fellowship of consecrated service for the missions, the charities and the Christian Education program of the Association.

To organize missionary activities and children's missionary groups wherever possible.

Funeral Lunch Service

(1) A circle will organize the serving of lunch following a funeral, but they are not responsible for providing the food.

(2) One member of the family should contact Hazel Mathre or Sandra Timmons , who will then inform the circle.

(3) We will need an estimate of how many people to plan for.

(4) If a hot meal is desired, we suggest that the family furnish meat, potatoes, vegetable, buns, one pound of margarine, one pound of decaf coffee, and any cold drinks, or drink mix. A cold lunch is optional.

(5) Bethlehem Lutheran will furnish disposable plates and napkins, and will use our own cups and silverware.

(6) After the lunch has been served, the family should take all remaining food home.

(7) In case more food should be needed to supplement the meal that has been brought in, the circle member in charge would purchase additional items as needed and the bill will go to the family.
