Weekly Prayer

Our Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving us first. You have taught us so much about the way You want us to love one another. Help us to be devoted to one another in brotherly love and to honor one another above ourselves. You have told us that whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. Place a desire on our hearts to pray for each other in Your love and truth. Help us to pray for others that they may grow in love, have a holy character, and do what is right. And as Paul prayed, that we, being rooted and established in love, may have power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge. We pray for ourselves and for all others in the name of Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen

Welcome to our website. We are glad that we can share the Lord's ministry at Bethlehem with you! Our mission is to call people to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ; and, to build disciples who love and follow the Lord wholeheartedly.

Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church has been a part of the Morris, Illinois community since 1880. We are thankful for our past; it is a rich spiritual heritage filled with many blessings. And, we are enthused about our future as the Word of God is proclaimed and more people come alive in Christ!

Keep looking to Jesus for He is as He said, "the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father but through Me" (John 14:6). May your visit to our website encourage you spiritually in your walk with the Lord.
